FORTY-FOUR HOURS PROPOSED. By Telegraph.—Press Aasn Copyright. Received Dec. 1, 1.20 a.m. Sydney, Nov. 30. In the Assembly the report by Judge Beeby, who has been enquiring into the question of a shorter working week, was tabled. It recommends a fortvfour hours week, including Saturday Work for building trades, and stated that in industries where necessary, employees must work the ordinary hours an at present worked. The Government gave notice of a Bill to give effect to the recommendation.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
