THE GREEK THRONE.
CONSTANTINE'S ASCENSION, j ANGLO-FRENCH VIEWS. j By T#)«jsraph.—Press Association. London Nov. 29. • Further conversations between M. Leygues and Mr. Lloyd George have led to a substantial rapprochement of An-glo-French views regwding the Greek situation. Permission to Constantine to re-ascend the throne is looming up as likely to fye faced, provided the heads \of the Germanophile party are removed from power and public posts. The Allies, moreover, would continue to assist Greek financiers at the same time retaining control. The foregoing are the proposed British conditions under which Greece will be allowed to retain the advantages of the Treaty of Sevres; otherwise territories like, Smyrna, the control of which hag been entrusted to Greece, will either return to Turkev or be internationalised.—Aus.-N.Z.
