ADVANCE OF 4s A TON. DUE TO LATEST BONUS By Telegraph.—Press Association. \ Christchureh, Last Night. A rise of 43 a ton on all kinds of household coal delivered in Christehurch is notified. Members of the Retail Coal Merchants Association say the increase is due to the latest cost of living bonus, which is now being paid by the majority of the dealers. In addition there have been increased running expenses in other directions. "
NO ADVICE LOCALLY. ADVANCE BOUND TO COME. No advice has been received in New Plymouth yet of this further rise in the price of coal. Mr. A. L. H.impiirics (Taranaki represmtative ot tha Coal Committee) stated last night tl»at a rise was bound to come in view of -;he new bonus, and the 4s advance notified in Christehurch would apply t'nnug-i----oul the Dominion. There will be no change in Taranaki until official advice of the advance is received.
