TO BE HELD IN TWO YEARS. NEW ZEALAND PROPOSAL. By Telegraph—Fres-j Atsoclatlon. Wellington, Last Night. It is intended to hold a big musical festival in each of the four centres, commencing in September, 1822. The year marks the jubilee of the Dunedin Choral Society, and the idea of celebrating the' event came from the southern city. Whilst tho arrangements are yet in a more or less nebulous stage certain cisions have been arrived at by negotiation between the Choral Societies of Auckland, the Royal Musical Union of Christclmrch, the Choral Society of Dunedin, and the Choral Union of Wellington. These are: (1) That a Choral Festival be held in each of the four centres, commencing at Dunedin in Sep-; tember, 1022; (2) that six concerts be given in Dunedin, Christclmrch, and Auckland, and eight in .Wellington; (3) that a vocal quartette from England be engaged for the performances. A conference of delegates of the four societies is to be held in Wellington before the end of the year, when further details will be settled. v
