WOOL MARKET

NEW ZEALAND SURPLUS. LOSS ON COARSE GRADES. By Telegraph,—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Nov. 23, 8.20 p.m. London, Nov. 22. Mr. Hope, in the House of Commons, replying to questions, said the (government holds .'373,000 Bales of New Zealand wool, of which some had recently been received. It was expected that some loss would ultimately be sustained on a considerable portion of the coarser grades. Importations of South American wool are cbnsiderably smaller than in prewar years. The importations for the ten months of 1013 were fifty per cent, larger than in 1020. The Bradford wool market is very quiet, buyers waiting in expectation of a lower basis. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
