ELTHAM CLUB RACES. " : i (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Eltliam Cycle Racine Club was favored with fine weather for their sports yesterday, and a large number of people watched tlio races. The one mile cycle race was well contested, ColUngwood winning' from scratch, Ooloman and Andrews finishing second and third respectively. McCrncken won the 100 yards fiat tnnclicap 011 an allowance of 10yds, with Howards second and Weir third. 11l the half mile cycle race, Coliingwnod (scr.) could not, overtake neiiimiell (25yds) Whiting took third prize. The 220 yards flat ■ handicap was a good race, Weir finish ins first from scratch, with Stm second and Ansford third. ColUngwood (scr.) won the two mile cyclo handicap. In the two mile cycle race, Coleman finished first and Andrews second. Collingwood lodged a proresl on the ground that he had been fouled and thrown. Hockey.—Knpongn (3) beat Eith.im B (0) ; Eltliam A (5) beat Htham B (0). The final was a closely fought game, finishing two all and on extended time K&punga scored and won.
