AVON CLUB, STRATFORD. OPENING OP FIRST SEASON. The official opening of the first season of the- Avon Bowling Club, Stratford, took place yesterday afternoon in ideal weather conditions. A large number of members and risiiors were present, including members of the Stratford Bowling Club and the Htratford Croquet Club. The president (Mr. .1. .Masters) extended on behalf of the club a hearty w e le.,„, e -.0 ■l.l present. Referring to the progress of the club, Mr. Masters said be wish to to apologise for the pavilion not being completed.
