THE YEAR'S WORK. SOCIETY'S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Kawaroa Park Beautifying Society was held last night, Mr. V. H. Beal presiding ove: - a good attendance of members. Tl'.e chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, said the position was very creditable to the committee in charge of the park. It might seem that the cash balance whi;!; they werejiolding in the bank, namely, £SBO, was a very large one for such a Society, but he explained that a great deal of this would have been expended had times been more favorable in regard to material and labor. In seconding the motion for the adoption of the report, Mr. F. ,1. Hill congratulated the committee on the splendid work done during the season. When it was considered that nearly £IOOO had been raised, some idea could be guaged of the wsfk done.
