SOUTH BRITISH COMPANY. Auckland, Oct. 28. At a meeting of South British shareholders the articles of association were amended to divide tte existing shares of £5 Into shares of £1 each. A proposal to Increase the directors' remuneration from £2900 to S4OOO among seven directors, was defeated by the meeting, and the chairman demanded a poll, which Is proceeding.
