PARLIAMENT TO-NIGHT.
NEXT IMPERIAL CONFERENCE. PREMIER UNLIKELY TO GO. (By Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. •Business in Parliament for Monday night will not be contentious. There are two seta of questions to be discussed. and after that one of the less important Bills before the House, probably the Explosives Bill, will be taken. It is unlikely that the Prime Minister will be able to attend the coming Imperial Conference, After the session lie will travel through New Zealand) and it is also his intention to pay a visit to Samoa to see for himself how things are going there. During a recent discussion on the Civil List Bill, Mr. Masscy mentioned that Sir William Kraser, who is amember of the Kxeeutive, was doing a good deal of work in connection with the fjuvernment of the country, and that it was necessary for the Leader of the Ipper House to have some assistance. He that this would be more necessity still later on. Mr. Massey's reference is understood to refer to the potsihle absence of Sir Francis Bell during i L.'\t session, or part of the session. Sir Francis will leave for England about April next. There is a possibility fliat the disc msion on the question of granting t> meat export license to Armour and Co. will come on again in the House. If a, division is reached, the House is sure 'o support the Government in refuting e. license.
