DEPRESSION IN JAPAN.
OUTLOOK NOT,REASSURING. By Telegraph.— Press Assn.— Copyri£ht. Received Oct. 17, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 10. Mr. Irving, of the National Bank, has received a cablegram from Yokohama stating that conditions in Japan continue unfavorable. A depression is still felt in all lines, and the outlook is not reassuring. Banks ar» extremely cautious in granting credits; they are keeping large reserves and are making loans only on high grade collateral.—Aus.NJS. Cable Assn.
