WAR TROPHIES.

FURTHKR ALLOCATIONS. GUNS FOR TARANAKI TOWNS. A mooting of Taranalci local body representatives was held in the Borough Council chambers, Hawera, yesterday afternoon for the purpose of allocating 11 numher of 'Additional war trophies given to the Tarauaki province. Major Cox presided. The trophies consisted of one howitzer, live dield-guns, four trenail mortars, and eighteen additional lnachine guns; These were, allocated as follows: Howitzer, to Now Plymouth Borough; Jield-gAins, to Stratford, Eltham and Hawera boroughs, and Manaia and Opunake town districts; trench mortars, to Waitara, InglewGoa and Patea boroughs, and Kapor-ga town district. Two machine-guns were allotted to each of the followiiii/ hire districts: Patea County and Borough, Waverley town district, Waimato County, and Manaia town district, Haweva County and Borough, Normanby town district, Eltham County and Borough and Ka)ionga town district, Kgmout County and Opunake town district, Stratford County and Borough and Whauganiomona and Ohura Counties, Inglewood County and Borough, Clifton and Awakino Counties and Waitara Borough.
