CRICKET TOUR OFF.
ENGLISH TEAM NOT OOMING. Tho proposal to bring an F.nglish cricket team to New Zealand next season has fallen through. Negotiations have been in progress for some time, and the various associations here asked for guarantees, Taranoki being ona of the provim>< which did offer a guarantee. The secretary of the North Tnranaki Cricket Association last night received a telegram from the New Zealand Cricket Council stating that the proposed tour had been abandoned.
