75,000 TONS FBOSI NEWCASTLE. PRIMARILY FOR RAILWAYS By Tttlesrapb.—Press AitoeUtloa. Wellington, Oct. B. Mr. Massey stated to-day that an officer of the Railway Department had completed the purchase of 75,000 ton* of Australian coal, to which Mr. Hughe* had absented. This ia in addition to a smaller quantity previously bought. No difficulty ia anticipated in bringing it over. The Railway Department will have the first claim on supplies.
