I PRICE PAID BY VESTEYS. It. is stated in Christchurch that the. price paid by Vestey Bros., Limited, to the Imperial Government, in rcjpect of beef in store in the Dominion, is Od a lb f.o.b. New Zealand ports. It, is not known what the price is for mutton. Under the commandeer the Imperial Government has paid 5d a lb for prime ox beef, 4Jd a lb for second ox, prime cow, and heifer beef, and 4,} d a lb for second cow beef. On the meat in store the Imperial Government has paid storage ami other charges, but it is considered that- under the circumstances it lias come out belter than was to be expected.
