TRAM EXTENSIONS.
J LOAN PROPOSALS POLL. The proposal of the New Plymouth Borough Council to raise a special loan of £43,500 will be put before the ratepayers at. a poll to be held on Wednesday, November 3. The purpose.? for which the loan is required are (a) £25,500, for (he extension of the present tramway system from Morley Street to David Street, and the acquisition of land, plant and machinery therefor; (b) £IB,OOO for the establishment of railless trams from the railway station, St, Aubyn Street, to the junction of Carrington and Brooklands roads.
