ACTION OP SOUTH AFRICAN nationalists. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, Sept 15. The Nationalists refused to take the oath of allegiance at the opening of the Provincial Council in Pretoria, but subsequently expressed their willingness to affirm their allegiance. Dr. Reitz explained that they were prepared to allirm, because they were compelled by law, but would only do so under protest, as they were Republicans. They then formally made the affirmation.
