By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, Sept. 10. Owing to the Adelaide incident M'Cormack has cancelled his remaining Australian recitals and will sail for Europe early in October. "Sidney, Sept. 10. The steamer Fiona is resuming work, the Colonial Sugar Company having agreed to increase the number of firemen. Brisbane, Sept. lfi. Mr. Theodore states that every Premier who visited England sooner or later yielded to certain pressure. It was necessary to put forward a moderate policy or balance the programme so as to woo capitalistic interests. Melbourne, Sept. 10. In the House of Representatives Sir Joseph Cook announced that the loan had so far been over-subscribed bv £157,000. Mr. Tudor's amendment to the New Guinea Bill had the object of applying all the Commonwealth laws to ritory. It was negatived by 30 votes to 11. Sydney, Sept. 16. In the Assembly the Premier announced that Mr. James, ex-Minister of Education, had accepted a Supreme Court judgeship. The Government majority fe now four.
