DEMOCRAT BID tfOR IRISH VOTES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright New York, Sept. 10. Mr. J. M. Cos, Democratic candidate for the Presidency, speaking at Butte, said that if elected he would bring selfdetermination for Ireland before the League of Nations. He would feel it his duty to do •this, as a friend of peace, under Article 11, which makes it possible for any nation to take a similar step.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
