RETAINING PRESENT OFFICERS. By Telejrnpli.—Press Association, Wellington, Last Night. Discussing, the appointment of an architect for the Education Department, Mr. G., Witty (Riccarton) complained in the House of Representatives to-night that it would he a waste. The Minister stated it was not proposed to dispense with boards' architects, whose plans for new school. 1 ! would be scrutinised by the department's architect, improvements made where necessary. One man could not do the whole architectural work.
