EMIGRATION
SYSTEM OF CONTROL. ALL NATIONS COMBINE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.^—Copyright. Received August 31, 5.5 p.m. London, August 29. A Geneva telegram states that in conformity with a resolution of the International Labor Conference held at Washington in % 1919, an international commission on emigration has been constituted, composed of one-third Government members, one-third workers, and one-third employers. Brazil, China,' France, India, and Japan have nominated the Government representatives; Australia, Germany, the United States, Poland, Italy and Sweden have nominated the workers' delegates: and South Africa, Argentina, Spain, Greece, Czccho-Slavia, and Switzerland nominated the employers' delegates. The president of the commission is Viscount Cave (Britain). The International Labor Bureau has addressed a comprehensive questionaire on the subject of emigration to fortytwo Governments which are members of the League of Nations. The opinion of each Government is sought concerning all aspects of the problem, and the possibility of harmonising diverse wages, and the internationalisation of legislation. A reply is desired before November 15. The Commission meets in the spring at Geneva.—Reuter Service.
