Loan and Mercantile Agency Coi Ltd., Stratford, report as follows: At our Stratford sale on the 17th inst., we had a good yarding. Young cattle were not as firm as In recent sales, but all other slock sold at full market rates. Prices realised were: Yearling steers £ 27s 6d to £3, heifers £5.10s to £0 10s, store cows £5 10s to £7 7s, forward sorts £9 12a 6d to £lO 10s, in-calf heifers £l2 10s to £l3, dairy cows £l4 10s to £l6 10s, Inferior.sorts £8 15s to £ll. Private Sales—Scarcity of feed has made the market quiet. We have several Inquiries for good dairy cows and in-calf heifers. We quote sales made: Hoggets 25s to 26s . 6d; f.f.m. ewes, ffi lamb, 28s 6d to 30s; 2, 4, »nd 6-tooth wethers, 3"s 6d; in-calf heifers, 2year, £lO, 3-ycar, £l2 to £l6; half-draught aged mare, £23.
