NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. Miss Brewster yesterday won the senior Indies' championship of the New Plymouth Club by defeating Mrs. Butcher by 2 up and Ito piny. Miss Brewster is an. ex-champion of the Club, having won the event in 1018. She was in England List year, but has returned to win the honor Jigaiu this year. The standard of play in yesterday's match was excellent throughout, the putting »f both players being especially good. The flrat nine holes were particularly well contested, and nt the turn, Miss Brewster was leading l)y one up. Winning the tenth and the eleventh. Miss Brewa.;er increased her lend to three up, and then preserved this lead for several holes, being still three up nt the fifteenth. Mrs. Butcher won the next, making the position dormy two. The seventeenth was halved in five, giving the match to Miss Brewster, up.and 1. Miss Brewster returned a card of 90, and Mrs, Butcher was four strokes more.
