MOTOR CYCLE FATALITY.
AN ELDERLY MAN KILLED, J ANOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED.* By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Christchurch, August 3. A motor cycle fatality occurred at Halswell, about five miles from Christchurch, late this afternoon, but the cause is unknown. Hearing a crash, the licensee ot t*« Halswell Hotel stepped out and found two men lying on the road, with a motor-cycle standing nearby. Both were carried into the hotel. One, an elderly man, believed to be W. W. Gibbs, of Lebons Bay, died within a few minutes. The other, who is supposed to be F. Williams, also of Lebons Bay, was later brought into the Christchurch hospital' suffering from a fractured skull.
