THE AUSTRALIAN EMBARGO. tfy Teleffrnpli.—Press AsscelaUoi Wellington, Last Night. The Minister of Agriculture has not yet been able to decide about sending a representative of the potato growers to Australia in regard to tfte embargo. The growers have not yet teen able to show him that they arc agreed as to who should be sent. It is desired that the man to be sent as representing the industry shall be a grower, but if the growers arc united about the choice of someone else not a grower, Mr. Nosworthy says that he will raise no objections. He has promised, in any case, that a representative of the department shall go, and that representative Is to be Mr. A. H. Cockayne, biologist. His duties will probably be to deal with scientific questions which may be raised as to the danger of infection of Australian crops with New Zealand pests.
