CHALLENGE FROM NOVA SCOTIA. By Telegraph.—l'ress Assn.—Copyrleht. Received August 2, 10130 p.m. Ottawa, August 2. Mr. A. E. Ross, an ex-member of ■the Canadian Parliament for Sydney, Nova Scotia, has sent a challenge to the New York Yacht Club for the America Cup for 1922 on behalf of the Nova Scotia Yacht Club. The boat is to be designed by the English, built in Canada, and manned by Nova Scotian fishermen. Commodore Jarvis, of Toronto, is willing to be the skipper. The challenger has been christened, the Maple Leaf. It will cost a million dollars, which will be raised by public subscription.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
