In the Reichstag, during the debate on the emergency Budget, including provision for a Government contribution of thirteen milliard marks. _towards the cost of distributing gifts 'from abroad, President Leobe, in the name of all parties, expressed most cordial thanks for the magnaminous assistance given German children by the Society of Friends in England • and America, philanthropists of Denmark, Swedeli. Switzerland, and other countries, and Germans in America. He added: "The German nation will never forget the affection bestowed on its children."
