HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER.
A SOUTH ISLAND SCHEME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. A conference of delegates from the rating local authorities of Marlborough, Nelson, and Buller districts, held here to-night, unanimously decided to take steps to form an electric power board with a view to the development of a comprehensive hydro-electric scheme for the nothern portion of the South Island. Arrangements were made to secure the necessary petitions to the Government in the various! districts.
