COURSING.
COMING MEETINGS On Wednesday and Thursday of next week Taranakl coursing enthusiasts will have ample opportunities of witnessing some good sport at New Plymouth. The event for decision Is tho Open Stakes, and It is anticipated that a large entry will be received for same. Tho draw will take place next Tuesday evening, and with fine weather the promoters should enjoy a successful meeting. The committee have recently effected several improvements at their grounds, Glen Avon, Smart Koad, whilst the hares are reported to bo remantaoiy Strang, showing fine condition. Jli July, the big meeting of the Dominion will bo held here, when tho Waterloo Cup will be decided. Already entries from all par' B of both Islands haTe been received, and it is anticipated that before nominations close the list will be found to be a record one. With previous experience* to guide them, the Taranakl Coursing Club intend to make the Waterloo meeting a memorable one, so that all who patronise this meeting will have an opportunity of seeing the best dogs in the Dominion lined up in competiton.
