. PRAISE FROM SCOTLAND. * London, May 20. The Scotsman states that Dr. J. Gibb, of New Zealand, addressing the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, praised Presbyterianisni for bringing New Zealand to the brink of prohibition. The Moderator replied that Dominion members were most welcome, Their gallantry and splendid ability were unforgettable.
