ENTERTAINED AT WELLINGTON By Teleirraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington Orphans Club entertained the (iovernor-General last evening. Colonel Esson, Chief Orphan, in welcoming the guest of honor, said that their joy wag tempered with regret that Lord Liverpool wag shortly leaving to return to England. He then placed, the chairman's ehain of office on Lord Liverpool's shoulders. In thanking the orphans for placing him in such an elevated position, Lord Liverpool said that notwithstanding lie would be fiovernor-Oneral three and a half months longer, he was: being allowed to take a little holiday before retiring. He hoped hj« would one day he able to return to New Zealand and they collld depend upon it that if that were the case he would claim hospitality at the hands of the Orphans Club.
