PAY FOR WOMEN.
BETTER, CONDITIONS URGED. By Teleernpli.—Press ABBOcltUftn, Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting, mostly attended by women, held in the Trades Hall liight, the following motion was carried : "That this meeting of Christchurch citizens is of opinion that women should receive equal pay for, equal work; and in the case of the cost of living bonus now being arranged, they should receive it in full; it also asks that the next session of Parliament shall legislate in the direction of a highel wage for New Zealand women." A motion was also carried demanding the appointment of a ivoman representative on the Arbitration Court.
