CRICKET.

NO ENGLISH VISIT. The New Zealand Cricket Council has been notified that tho English team to visit Australia cannot play any games In New Zealand. There was a possibility that in the event of the Australian team proceeding to Britain the players would travel via Panama, and in that case a three-days' match might be arranged whilst the Australians were in New Zealand. Apart from tliis there appeared little likelihood of an Australian team v.sltlng New Zealand next summer, but the Australian Board of Control would go into the whole question at tho nest meeting.
