CUSTOMS RETURNS.
INCREASE FOR LAST MONTH. By Telegraph.—Preg« Association. Auckland, Last Night, The Minister of Customs (Sir Wm. Reirics) announced thin morning that the Customs returns for the whole Dominion in May totalled £386,003, and the beer duty £26,985. The Cutoms receipts represent an increase of £353,100 on the returns of May, 1919, which were £432,897. . The May return of 1919 and 1920 respectively for the principal ports, were follows: 1919. 1920. Auckland ........ 112,584 175,334 Wellington ....... 142,766 286,021 Lyttelton .....i 67,873 101,018 JQunedin ......... 68,927 96,029
