OUSTING WHITE MEN.
THE INFLUX OF ASIATICS. SEAMEN TAKE ACTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Auckland, Last Night. The continued influx of Asiatics has led the Auckland watersiders to a decision not to work after a certain date Vessels carrying such people- This decision has been conveyed to the advisory board of the Transport Workers' Federation for its consideration. A leading officer of the Watersiders' U:n'on this morning stated that the position was reaching what he considered to be an acute Btage. The decision was carried as a protest against the continuous stream of Chinese and Hindus pouring into the Dominion. "The Chinaman," he added, "is fast ousting the white man in' the retail fruit trade,." The Hindus, he said, had gained such a foiting that they were now able to do good busines by hawking butter for sale from door to door.
