EVERYBODY'S. .LAST NIGHT OF SESSUE KAYAKAWA IN "A HEART IN PAWN." As an impersonator of dramatic roles of the intense order, the talented Japanese actor, Sessue Hayakawa, has few equals on the screen. "A Heart in Pawn," a new elaborately produced drama of the East, shows him in his best vein. Here lie is seen in the role of an ambitious young Japanese, secretly married to Sada, who works as a geisha , girl to provide him with the money to study in America. While absent he hears that Sada has been executed for killing a man who insulted her, and later he marries a Japanese half-caste girl and takes her to Japan. Here he learns the terrible truth that Sada has been reprieved, and borne him a son. Sada escapes from prison and meets Toyoma with his bride, and there is a terrible scene, in which Hayakawa plays a fascinating and intensely dramatic part. "A Heart in Pawn" shows for the last time at Everybody's to-night. There is a remarkably fine supporting programme including a laughable "Sunshine" comedy. THE PEOPLE'S ; BIG POX BILL TO-NIGHT. Artists for centuries have taken pleasure in painting portraits of gipsies. Beautiful Women abound among these wanderers. In "Hie Sneak," the Gladys Brockwfell photo-play which opens tonight at the People's Theatre, an artist searches long before he finds a suitabla model. No wonder he is displeased when he meets the woman of his dreams, and she is unwilling to pose for him. Only a dastardly ruse forces her to submit to his plan, and this almost separates her forever from her tribe and her true lover. "The Sneak" is not only picturesque in the extreme, but it is very powerful in its situations, and Gladys Brockwell adds new triumph to her long list. The bill includes another big "Sunshine" comedy and gazettes.
