WINTER ADDS TO HARDSHIP. By Telegraph,—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received May 20, 7.50 p.m. Sydney, May 20. Cold weather is adding to the hardships of stock-owners in the drought areas, as it is playing havoc with the poor-conditioned animals, which are unable to stand winter cold. Reports from some districts state that ploughing is held lip awaiting rain. Unless it falls before the end of next weak there will practically be no planting.--Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
