MOTORS COLLIDE.
ONE MAN KILLED. ANOTHER GRAVELY INJURED. By Telegraph.—rress Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. A motor fatality occurred one mile on the Wanganui side of Sandon at fi.3o to-night. A car driven by Warren Newth, a taxi-driver, coming from the Wanganui races, crashed into a car driven by A. E. Eglinton, a Sandon settler, going from Palmerston, on an open road. Both vehicles were overturned and wrecked. Eglinton sustained terrible injuries to his head, and died nhortly afterwards. E. A. Penny, a farmer, sitting in the front seat, had hia skull fractured and both legs broken. He is not expected to survive the night. Mr. and Mrs." A'Court, in the back seat, escaped with a few .bruises. Warren Nawth was rendered unconscious, but not seriously injured; Basil Fairclotli. was practically unhurt; V. Powell received severe facial injuries; J. S. McConkey and Kidman, bad face and scalp wounds; and Rendftll, a postal employee, shock and bruises-
