TARANAKi ASSOCIATION. NEXT WEEK'S CARNIVAL, The programme for the fortlioontinjr boxing tournament, which takes place In the Empire Theatre on the 26th and 27th inst., appears in this issue. Excellent entries have been received for the amateur classes, the very best amateurs m the province competing. The association has every reason to feel pleased at the splendid entries received by them for their first tournament. Some very Interesting and close bouts should be witnessed.. The professional bouts will also be full of Interest, as the competitors are all men tfßll-known in the ring. On the Art night of the tournament (Wednesday) Geo. Richardson, of New Plymouth, wili meet Toromy Thompson, of Toko. On the BBeond night (Thursday) T. Merlin Winlkl, of, Mldhirst, will meet Frank Brown. ! The box plan for the 10s seats will open j at Collier's to-morrow morning (Saturday), and ; for the £1 Is (ringside) on Monday morning! next, 24th inst. !
