MIXED FOURSOMES TOURNAMENT. A mixed foursomes tournament was played by the Stratford Club yesterday afternoon, the following being the results:— H. S. Tl P. P. Unlacke and Mrs. Rutherfurd 8 54 46 S. Kutberfurd and Mrs. King .. 10 60 50 D. Hill and Mrs. Burraester .. 2 53 51 W. Pratt and Mrs. Pratt 14 65 51 J. Lyons and Mrs. Lyons ...... 10 64 54 During the afternoon the president, Mr Lyons, made a presentation of a rose bowl suitably engraved, to Mr. and Mrs. J. R. L. Stanford in appreciation of Mr. Stanford's sixteen years' membership, and as one of the founders of the club, and of Mrs. Stanford's keen interest in the club, of which she was one of the best playing members. Mr. Stanford suitably replied thanking the members for their gift.
