[ Wellington, Last NightApropos of the statement credited t0 General Booth and recently cabled from Australia in respect to prohibiton, Com« missioner Hodder has received a cable v from the General's secretary correcting the reported opinion as follows !• "Asked if prohibition was shortly probable in the United Kingdom; tha General expressed doubt as to the posi sibilHy of enforcing so great a change on one section of the population unless it was carried by such an overwhelming majority, as seems improbable at present." [A cable received from Melbourne at the end of last week stated: "General Bramwell Booth, asked about his attitude towards Prohibition, said that he would like to see Australia dry, but ho was not sure whether the will of one sections of the people should be forced on others."]
