ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY'S. CLARA KIMBALL YOUNG IN "THE ROAD THROUGH THE DARK." To see beautiful Clara Kimball Young in a tragic incident calling for a thrilling display of womanly emotion is to understand the feelings of the critic who said of her in a moment of ecstasy: "A milk-white gardenia, with its rare fragrance, and exquisite beauty and wax-like petals." This sounds like exaggerated feeling, but it is an indication of the impression created by the famous star when her wonderful talent is cast for a very special and congenial role, as she is seen in the new Select film drama, "The Road Through the Dark," a story of the early period of the war. Here she has a part which might easily jc spoilt by the least shade of coarseness or even clumsiness of interpretation. To save the lives of an entire French community she consents to become the mistress of a German commander, while secretly planning to' act as a spy for France. With Clara Kimball Young in such a role the quality of the drama may be taken for granted. This picture screens to-night and tomorrow at Everybody's, and the supporting programme includes one of those famous "Sunshine" comedies, entitled "His Musical Sneeze." THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF HARRY MOREY. Virile Harry Morey. appears finally to-night in his big play of the lumber camps, "Silent Strength," the strongest of Henry T. Morey's screen efforts. The feature role is well adapted to the big rugged star, that of a man of the mountains who knew no trouble until love crossed his path. The plot is swift in action, with strong mystery element sustained to the last. The bill includes gazette and comedy. William Farnum will be seen at the People's to-morrow in his latest Willian Fox photoplay "The Man Hunter," written and directed by Frank Lloyd. This is another big picture that all motion picture fans will enjoy. It is a typical Farnum do luxe production and it lias in it three rattling good fights'. The scenes are laid in London and New York, at sea and on a desert island.
