NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A medal handicap will ho played on the New \ Plymouth Club's links this afternoon, j Tho ladies will play a medal handicap on Tuesday afternoon. j STRATFORD CLUB. OPENING OF SEASON. . Tho Stratford Golf Club opened the season In splendid weather conditions on Thursday afternoon, when a nine-hole mixed foursome match was played. There was a large at-1 tendance of visitors, and the president (Mr. ; J. S. Lyons), after an appropriate speech, drove off from tho first tee. The prospects for tho season are very bright, the membership being considerably strengthened by the nddltlon of a number of recruits and players who have come to Stratford from other ventres. At the present time tho links are in fair order and are expected to gradually Improve as the season advances. At the conclusion of Thursday's match, tho winners (Mr. and Mrs. Pratt) were presented with tho president's trophies. Following are the scores 2 Gross Net Hep. See. See. \V, P.
