THE JOCKEYS' DISPUTE.
VICTIMISATION SUGGESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Referring to-night to the decision of Jockeys at the Manawatu races to resign from the Jockeys' Association liecause they objected to the militant attitude of the executive, Mr. C. C. Sheath, secretary of the Jockeys' Association} said the executive had anticipated pressure being brought to bear on the boys. Private advice had been received that pressure had been brought to bear in individual eases in an endeavor to smash the Association. Victimisation was regarded by Labor Unions as a serious offence, and no one could foretell with certainty the course that would be Adopted by the powerful unions, who could refuse to tranship horses and racing material A meeting of the Jockeys' Association and various Labor Unions will be held to-morrow night to decide a courso pf action.
