Five brides are missing, and it is supposed they were murdered for the sake of their insurance, whie.i, apparently, was "Bluebeard's" speciality. He operated in most of the big American and Canadian cities. The wives seldom saw him after the honeymoon. "Bluebeard" is now in hospital, in a serious condition as a result of two attempts to commit suicide—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
