Cardiff railwaymen demand a minimum of £5 weekly, also 50 per cent, decrease in the price of necessities. They have asked the Triple Alliance to consider a national strike in the event of a refusal of these terms. The London Omnibus Company offered an increase of 5a weekly. The men demanded lfle. A strike is postponed pending a conference. The Labor Gazette states that the increases in wages in all industries average 120 per cent, above pre-war rates. United Service.
