SOARING PRICES.
EXASPERATED WORKERS. * London, March 28. Mr. J. H. Thomas, general secretary of the National Union of Railwaymen, in- an article in the Sunday Times, urges the immediate appointment of ail influential committee to investigate the whole question of prices and find a remedy. It is unquestionable, he'says, that the industrial horizon is darkening, and a dangerous situation is likely to arise unless the increase in the cost of living is stopped. This is the only subject that is exasperating the workers. Otherwise they are inclined to settle down.
