AUTUMN HORSE FAIRS.

The Farmers' Co-operative Orsanisntlon So-1 ciety report: ' At Waverley on Thursday, and .it Hawera. on Friday, we conducted our autumn horse Viir, when we had a total entry at all falra of about 41)0 horses .There was a largo attendance of outside buyers, the Auckland province being particularly well represented. There, was also a good local force present, the whole of the Taranaki districts being well represented. The entry comprised a large proportion of good ellfty draught marcs, together with <i fair number of spring rarters. harness norsea, and haelmeys and thoroughbreds. The demand for good young draught mares and useful farm horses was good, and practically everything of this description changed hands at satisfactory prices. The fact that there lias been very little breeding 'for the past Ave years, is now making itself felt, and there are now very few young horses coming forward to take the places of the old ones, and we can see nothing but high prices prevailing for sonic time to enme.
