Vifcoimt Orey lias written to Mr. Walter Rtiiicinuui, hoping lie will be successfill in the North Edinburgh by-election. Viscount Grey says the last general election resulted in an abnormal House of Commons owing to the absence of effective opposition. Public confidence in the constitutional method was thus undermined, and this was a serious danger at the- present time.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
