Macfie, of Sydney, has sold to the British Sulphides Smelting Company for 1000,000 £1 shares and £SOOO cash, block 196 Broken Hill Eitenslon, Broken Hill Alma extension, Broken Hill Extended, and Silver Eastern Pinnacles—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ANTWERP WOOL SALES. Received March 28, 5 5 pm. London, March 25. At the Antwerp sales, In River Plate wools thore was animated competition for merinos, which reached 20 per cent., and fine crossbreds 25 to 30 per cent, above January. A total of G3S6 bales were offered, and 1225 sold. The withdrawals were chiefly medium and low erossbreds.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. STOCK EXCHANGE DEPRESSED. London, March 24. The Stock Exchange Is depressed, largely owing to heavy selling from Paris owing to the lowness of the exchange Consols, £45 10s; P. and 0., £545 and £565.
